The Kansas City International Airport is experiencing an issue with its outbound baggage system Sunday, according the city’s aviation department.

A technical issue with the airport’s outbound checked baggage system affected all airlines this morning, said Joe McBride, a spokesman for the aviation department.

The issue caused long lines at ticket counters and baggage drop areas for all airlines in the morning.

Airport officials are working with the baggage system operator to identify the cause of the issue and find a solution.
