Update: Police said Monday afternoon that Aubrey Ellifrits was found safe

Kansas City police were asking for help Sunday to locate a 24-year-old woman reported missing from the South Indian Mound neighborhood.

Aubrey Ellifrits was last seen around 6:15 p.m. in a gold-colored sedan near St. John and Spruce avenues. Police said she needs medical care.

Ellifrits stands 5-foot-2 and weighs about 120 pounds, according to police. She was last wearing a blue sports bra, white jean shorts and had a jacket tied around her waist.

The vehicle is a Chrysler 200 with temporary Kansas license plates, police said.

Police were asking anyone who sees Ellifrits to call 911.
