Overnight pavement repairs will close two lanes of I-470 in Kansas City area. Here’s when

Drivers who use Interstate 470 in southeast Kansas City may need to find alternate routes as pavement repairs will close two lanes of the highway next week, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced.
The overnight work now begins Monday, Lairyn McGregor, a spokeswoman for MoDOT’s Kansas City District, said in a news release.
Here’s what drivers can expect:
- Beginning at 7 p.m. Monday , crews will repair the pavement along eastbound I-470 between the Three Trails Crossings and Raytown Road until 6 a.m. Saturday. During that time, two lanes will be closed.
- Beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, crews will make repairs to the pavement along westbound I-470 between Raytown Road and the Three Trails Crossings until 6 a.m. Two lanes will be closed during the repairs.
- Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, crews will continue repairing the pavement along westbound I-470 between Raytown Road and the Three Trails Crossings until 6 a.m. Two lanes will be closed during the repairs.
- Each night, the ramps to and from Blue Ridge Boulevard will be closed intermittently.
The work is weather permitting. During the repairs, drivers are urged to slow down and pay attention in the work zones, McGregor said.
