Every so often Kansas City is hit with a fiesta convergence.
It happened again on Friday night when masses of people packed the streets of the Crossroads Arts District for First Friday and at the Guadalupe Centers in the nearby West Side neighborhood for Cinco de Mayo.
If you missed First Friday, you missed your chance. The Crossroads doesn’t celebrate First Saturday. You’re in luck though if you couldn’t make it to the Guadalupe Centers’ Cinco de Mayo fiesta. You can celebrate Cinco de Mayo again starting at noon Saturday at Guadalupe Centers. The festivities go on until 11 p.m.
Admission to the festival is free where there will be plenty of food, musical acts and cultural entertainment. Guadalupe Centers is located at 1015 Avenida Cesar E Chavez in Kansas City.
Here are some things you missed if you weren’t there Friday night.
