A bicyclist who crashed into a freight truck while riding on Truman Road in mid-April died Wednesday from his injuries, police said.

Police have identified the bicyclist as 58-year-old Larry L. Nease.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. on April 13 at East Truman Road and Kensington Avenue. Police said the bicyclist, who was thrown from his bike in the crash, was taken from the scene by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Police investigating the crash determined Nease was heading north on Kensington, holding a “very large cauldron,” and failed to yield for a stop a sign at Truman. He then rode into the side of a Freightliner truck, authorities said at the time.

After the crash, police said the bicyclist ended up in the roadway on Truman.

No one else was injured, police said.
