Missing 22-year-old Kansas City man has been found safe: police

Update: Twenty-two-year-old Kevontay Watson who disappeared Sunday morning while walking in a south Kansas City has been found and is safe, a police spokeswoman said Sunday afternoon.

Police asked for help finding 22-year-old Kevontay Watson who disappeared Sunday morning while walking in a south Kansas City neighborhood, a police spokeswoman said.

Watson was last seen about 7:45 a.m. walking away from the area of 100th Terrace and Wornall Road, said Officer Donna Drake, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City Police Department.

He was described as being a black male, about 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He is diagnosed with autism and is non-verbal. He also has medical conditions that require care.

He was last seen wearing a black and gray skullcap, blue jacket and gray pants.

Anyone who sees Watson or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
