The Kansas City zoo announced the birth of two North American river otter pups on social media Tuesday afternoon.

Both born to Ursula, a 5-year-old otter, on March 4, the pups are healthy and yet to be given names, according to zoo staff in their social media post.

“We are swimming with excitement,” said the zoo’s post.

The pups — one boy and one girl — are already walking on their own. They often move around and spend time bonding with their mother. The young family will be introduced to their main habitat and made accessible to the public shortly, the post said.

For now, an animal care team is providing the mother with time to herself to swim.

The official names of the pups have yet to be revealed.
