Update: Police said Calvin Norwood was found and is safe.

Kansas City police are asking for help finding an elderly man with dementia last seen mid-day Sunday.

Calvin Norwood, 83, was last seen at 2 p.m. Sunday as he walked north, away from his home near the 5800 block of State Line Road, the Kansas City Police Department said Sunday evening.

Norwood at the time was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, gray shoes and a “two-tone” blue United States Air Force hat.

“Calvin suffers from dementia and may be confused,” KCPD wrote. “His family is extremely worried about his wellbeing.”

Anyone who sees Norwood is asked to call 911 or KCPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5043.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has also issued an endangered silver alert for Norwood.
