Here’s a first look at the 2023 Parade of Hearts art soon to dot the Kansas City metro

Kansas City has a new heart.
Make that hearts.
Forty of them to be exact.
Parade of Hearts, the popular art installation event that started in 2022 is back for 2023. Event organizers held a media preview Friday to reveal the heart-shaped art installations completed by regional artists. Designs for 2023 include tributes to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, The Wizard of Oz and many more. The hearts will be distributed to public spaces around the Kansas City metro for viewing.
For those who can’t wait to see the works of art or don’t want to burn the gasoline traveling around the city to see them all, there is a viewing event open to the public on Saturday, April 15. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Royal Hale Arena Upper Exhibit Hall located at 1701 American Royal Ct. Tickets are $5 per person. Children 2 and under get in free.
Saturday’s preview will include music and family friendly activities for entertainment according to the organizers. More on the event and ticket information can be found here.
