A fire early Monday at an apartment complex in Overland Park damaged 20 cars, officials said.

Crews from Overland Park and Leawood responded to a carport fire just before 1 a.m. at the Club at Indian Creek Apartments in the 10400 block of Conser Street, said Jason Rhodes, a spokesman with the Overland Park Fire Department, in a news release.

Firefighters contained the blaze to the carport area in under 15 minutes, and it did not spread to any other buildings.

The fire destroyed seven vehicles. Another 13 were moderately damaged from heat exposure.

No injuries were reported. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
