Southbound Interstate 35 in Lenexa has reopened after a multiple vehicle crash shut down the highway for nearly three hours Friday morning, according to Kansas City Scout.d

The crash occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. near 119th Street, forcing all lanes of the highway to be closed, according to Kansas City Scout.

While the highway was closed, drivers who rely on the highway for their morning commute were advised to find another route.

At one point, Kansas City Scout cameras showed traffic at a virtual standstill at the I-35 and Interstate 435 interchange.

Further details, including the whether there were injuries in the crash, were not immediately available.
