Australian war art on exhibit in Kansas City

An art exhibit commemorating the role of Australian servicemen and women, from Gallipoli in World War I to the present, will be on display this summer and fall at the National World War I Museum and Memorial.

The exhibit “A Centenary of Australian War Art” opens Friday in Memory Hall and continues through Dec. 6. The Australian ambassador to the United States, Kim Beazley, will visit for a private reception Thursday.

The documentary “The Waler: Australia’s Great War Horse” will be screened at the museum at 6:30 p.m. July 23. Free with RSVP.
