Vehicle strikes pedestrian in Cass County, leaving the man with serious injuries

A Kansas City, Kansas man was hit by a car and left seriously injured Friday night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The driver crashed into the Kansas City, Kansas man around 9:32 p.m. just north of Wild Horse Parkway in Cass County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said.

Officers discovered that a 19-year-old girl driving south on Missouri Route 291 in a Ford Fusion collided with the pedestrian.

The victim suffered serious injuries. The 22-year-old victim was transported by South Metro firefighters to the Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment, according to the crash report.

Neither the name of the victim nor the name of the driver was listed in the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
