The opening of the new terminal at Kansas City International Airport is expected to usher in a new era for travelers in Kansas City.

Gone will be the outmoded horseshoe-shaped terminals, once touted as providing “drive to your gate” convenience,” in favor of a single $1.5 billion terminal with spacious gate areas, all-glass passenger boarding bridges and upgraded eating and shopping options.

The grand opening comes nearly four years after the city first broke ground on the project, which Kansas City voters overwhelmingly approved in a 2017 election.

The Star hopes to learn more about the community’s thoughts and questions about the new terminal and the airport. It’s important that we hear directly from you. Please respond to the brief questionnaire below.
