Police locate 9-year-old who went missing from southeast Kansas City on Wednesday

Update: Police said Thursday that the 9-year-old girl had been located and was safe.

Police are asking for the public’s help to find an endangered 9-year old who went missing from southeast Kansas City Wednesday morning.

Naomi Slayden was last seen on foot around 9 a.m. near 99th Street and Richmond Drive, according Donna Drake, a spokeswoman with the Kansas City Police Department.

She was wearing a jean jacket, white T-shirt and black leggings. She’s 4 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 50 pounds.

Anyone with information about Naomi’s whereabouts is urged to contact the KCPD Juvenile Unit at 816-234-5150 or the non-emergency line at 816-234-5111.
