A fundraiser has been launched for the burial of a three-year-old girl who was shot and killed on Christmas Eve in Kansas City.

Kansas City police said they believe the shooting was accidental.

Officers responded around 6:45 p.m. Saturday to the 7800 block of James A. Reed Road where they found Quezariah Jackson suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was transported to a hospital in critical condition, but died later that night.

“I’m raising funds for my daughter homegoing,” the girl’s mother, Nakedia Sullivan, posted on GoFundMe. “A tragic accident has lead to her death. I cherish the 3 years God allowed her to be with us. These funds will be going towards her burial and getting her closer to home. So that her entire family will be able to see her physically one last time.”
