Outage leaves some without power in Lenexa amid winter storm, freezing temperatures
About 1,200 households were left without power in Lenexa amid a winter storm that brought freezing temperatures and snow to the area.
According to Evergy, 1,208 households in the area of Renner Road and 87th Street were affected by the outage, which was reported around 12:20 p.m.
The situation was expected to be resolved around 2 p.m., but as of 4 p.m. some customers were still without power.
An Evergy spokesperson said the outage can likely be attributed to inclement weather conditions.
