Amazon opens new facility with same-day delivery services in Kansas City
Amazon’s opened up a new same-day facility on Dec. 19 in Kansas City, arriving right before Christmas. This makes it 12 different facilities in the Kansas City area with the opening of this same-day delivery space.
The new facility is south of Highway 150, just off Botts Road at 4001 E 149th St. It’s a three-in-one building that hosts fulfillment, sorting and delivery services for packages ordered from Amazon, according to a statement made by the company.
The new facility will allow Amazon Prime members to make purchases and choose same-day delivery windows. You can use it today by using this link and searching what’s available within your ZIP code.
The delivery windows for same-day delivery are:
Order between midnight to 5 a.m., and get it between 7-11 a.m.
Order between 5-10 a.m., and get it between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Order between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and get it between 2-6 p.m.
Order between 1-5 p.m., and get it between 5-10 p.m.
Order between 5-9:30 p.m., and get it the next day at 4-8 a.m.
Order between 9:30 p.m. to midnight, and get it the next day at 7-11 a.m.
The building will have in-demand items for same-day delivery, such as toilet paper, books and school supplies.
The retail giant added four new facilities around this time in 2021 and one in 2022, with the largest at 9400 Leavenworth Road in Kansas City, Kansas.
