Update: Kansas City police said Wednesday that Margorie Thompkins was found safe.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 74-year-old Missouri woman after she was dropped off at a Kansas City hospital for an appointment and was not picked up and returned to her nursing home, according to the Harrisonville Police Department.

The statewide Silver Alert was issued early Friday for Margorie Nell Tompkins, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, paranoid schizophrenia and diabetes, according to the alert from the Missouri Highway Patrol.

She was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the University Health Truman Medical Center at 2301 Holmes Street.

Tompkins was described as a white female, about 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing 230 pounds. She has brown hair with gray streaks and hazel eyes. She was wearing a purple hat, glasses, a purple and blue scarf, a purple coat and a blue medical mask.

She also uses a wheelchair and a walker.

Express Transportation took Tompkins from the Meadow View Health & Rehabilitation to University Health for a medical appointment. She was never picked up or taken back to Meadow View, according to the alert.

Anyone who sees Tompkins is asked to call 911, their local law enforcement agency or the Harrisonville Police Department at 816-380-8940.
