KC Zoo announces names for baby chimp, gorilla
It’s a girl — and a boy — at the Kansas City Zoo.
It has been determined that a western lowland gorilla born at the zoo on May 25 is female and she has appropriately been named Masika, a Swahili word that means born in the rainy season.
A male chimpanzee born at the zoo on March 27 has been named Milo. A benefactor of the zoo purchased the naming rights for the two youngsters, who are both on display in their respective exhibits.
The zoo also released videos of the babies. View Masika here
