360 video: Walk through Kansas City International Airport’s new terminal
Air travelers in Kansas City are only months away from jetting out of a new airport terminal built for the 21st century.
City aviation department officials say the $1.5 billion project is 90% complete. The terminal is expected to open in late February or early March of 2023, just in time for the Big 12 basketball tournament and the NFL draft event that is expected to draw thousands of visitors to Kansas City.
On Monday, the terminal was opened up for a media preview. The Star was there with a 360 video camera to give you the best on the scene experience you can get without actually being there. Watch the video to see for yourself.
The video works best on desktop computers and can be moved around with your cursor. You’ll have to click on the audio icon and turn it up to hear your tour guide. Click here if the video doesn’t play correctly on our mobile app.
