Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-49 south of Harrisonville

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday night in a crash south of Harrisonville, a Missouri Highway Patrol dispatcher said.

The motorcycle was heading southbound on Interstate 49 about two miles south of Harrisonville when it ran off the road and crashed about 7 p.m.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, according to the Highway Patrol. The driver’s name has not yet been released, pending notification of relatives.
