Wreck closes northbound Interstate 435 in east KC on Saturday

Police closed northbound Interstate 435 in east Kansas City for nearly an hour early Saturday afternoon after a traffic accident.

Multiple emergency vehicles converged on the scene near Eastwood Trafficway about 12:30 p.m., according to KC Scout.

Emergency crews reopened the interstate about 45 minutes later.

A separate accident, on Interstate 435 near Missouri 350, was expected to be cleared about about 2 p.m. That wreck closed the two left lanes.
