Pianist Noah Matthew Siegel dies after fall from UMKC garage

A man who fell from a four-story parking structure at the University of Missouri-Kansas City has died, Kansas City police said Thursday.

University officials identified him as Noah Matthew Siegel, a graduate of the Conservatory of Music and Dance. He worked as a freelance collaborative pianist with conservatory students, according to the statement.

Siegel was critically injured late Wednesday morning after falling from the structure between 52nd and 53rd streets and Rockhill Road and Charlotte Street. He died later at a hospital.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fall.

The university’s statement said the counseling center and student health and wellness office at 4825 Troost Ave. are available to support students and staff of the conservatory and campus.
