Three people pulled from burning car in wreck on I-435 in south Kansas City Tuesday
Three people were pulled from a burning car in a six-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 435 in south Kansas City, according to radio traffic captured on Broadcastify.com
The collision was reported about 8:30 a.m. near East 87th Street, according to KC Scout traffic cameras.
A dispatcher initially said one person was pulled from the wreck. Several minutes later, they said it was three people.
“One of the cars were on fire, three people were pulled from the burning car,” the dispatcher said.
All lanes of southbound I-435 were closed following the crash, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation in Kansas City.
At least one northbound lane was also closed before it was opened around 11:10 a.m.
