Part of Kansas City highway remains closed following crash, vehicle fire
Part of a Kansas City highway is closed following a vehicle crash and fire Monday afternoon, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced Monday.
Eastbound Interstate 670 just before Interstate 35 remains closed following the crash and fire. All lanes of Westbound I-670 have reopened. The department said it would close I-670 at Interstate 70 on the Kansas side and redirect all traffic to I-70.
The crash occurred near I-670 and Genessee Street on the Kansas side of the highway and led to a temporary closure of all lanes on both sides.
