Independence police identify victim of motorcycle crash

Independence police have identified the victim of a motorcycle accident in that community this week.

Devin Patrick, 22, died in the crash.

Police say Patrick was driving the motorcycle near Truman Road and Powell Tuesday evening when he lost control of the bike. It slammed into an approaching car and Patrick was thrown to the pavement. He was taken to the hospital but died of his injuries.

The investigation of the accident continues.
