Feeling lucky? A new nonstop, cheap flight from KCI to Las Vegas is coming this summer

If you’re feeling lucky, a trip to the casinos of Las Vegas will soon only be a few hours away.

Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday that it will offer nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport and Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport beginning this August.

The first flight will take off on Aug. 9, with ticket prices as low as $89 to celebrate the launch of this new route. Flights will then depart daily between the two cities. Currently, only Spirit Airlines and Southwest Airlines offer this route nonstop.

Flying direct from MCI to LAS only takes around three and a half hours, according to current flight schedules. The flight also moves backwards through two time zones. That means if you catch a flight after work in Kansas City, you could be bar-hopping on the Vegas strip later the same evening.

“Frontier is delighted to add Las Vegas to our roster of nonstop destinations from Kansas City,” said Daniel Shurz, the airline’s senior vice president of commercial. “We also offer a number of connecting destinations from LAS to cities across the U.S. and Mexico.”

The airline’s low-fare offer for this route is only valid through Monday, June 13. Check flight times and find tickets here.
