Woman killed in weekend house fire was 41-year-old Olathe resident, officials say

The woman killed in a weekend house fire in Olathe has been identified by authorities as Charmaine Marie Phillips. She was 41.

Phillips, who lived in Olathe, died Friday night when a blaze broke out in a house in Olathe, said Capt. Mike Hall, a spokesman with the department.

Firefighters responded just before midnight to a home near 159th Street and Ridgeview Road, Hall said. No one else was injured.

The fire and Phillips’ death remain under investigation by the Olathe Fire Department and Olathe Police Department as of Monday, Hall said. No information has been released yet on a possible cause of the fire.
