If you ever thought about working for the city, now’s your chance. Kansas City is looking to fill plenty of positions, and one of these could be yours.

What exactly is KCMO hiring for? Take a look below and find the best position for you.

WHAT’S AVAILABLE?

There are spots open for all types of roles, including:

  • Council aide

  • Landscape architect

  • Lifeguards

  • Maintenance electricians, mechanics, repairers and workers

  • Recreation leader

  • Tenant advocate

  • Tree trimmer

Jobs like maintenance repair are limited-time contracts, while the tenant advocate position is full-time. Both offer benefits, and you can find what benefits come with each position in the job application.

Some jobs, like the tenant advocate position, have an application deadline for May 2, while maintenance worker positions are open until filled. You can view a sample of salaries below:

  • Maintenance mechanic: $16.64 hourly

  • Landscape architect: Minimum annual salary of $47,484

  • Lifeguards, recreation leaders and other seasonal workers: $15.02 hourly

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY?

You’ll need to create an account before you can apply, and you can do that here. You’ll need to enter your email, phone number and address to complete your account. If you don’t live within city limits and you’re offered a position, you’ll need to establish residency within nine months.

Once you’ve created an account, search for all available jobs, which you can find here. When you apply, you’ll need to provide the following information if it applies to you:

  • Previous work experience

  • College degree or experience at a university

  • High school diploma or equivalent
