It took her 10 years, but one Kansas mom has finally won an HGTV ‘Dream Home’
Dreams do come true.
HGTV announced that Karey Wolstenholm of Overland Park is the winner of their “Dream Home” sweepstakes. The grand prize package she and her family will receive is valued at over $2.4 million.
Wolstenholm and her family will pack their bags and head up to Warren, Vermont, where they’ll enjoy the following:
A fully furnished 3,090 square-foot home with three bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms
A 2022 Grand Wagoneer

Wolstenholm owns a business with PROforma, a print and promotional product company in Overland Park.
She couldn’t believe the news when she found out. Her sisters were in on the big reveal: They all met at their favorite restaurant and told Wolstenholm that a film crew was there to shoot a food show. The designer of the “Dream Home,” Brian Patrick Flynn, posed as the host of the food show, and then surprised Wolstenholm with the news.
In an interview with HGTV, she said she entered the “Dream Home” contest twice a day for almost two months during the winter. Out of 142 million entries, she was the chosen one.
This isn’t Wolstenholm’s first rodeo with HGTV, as she also said she’s entered the sweepstakes every day for the past 10 years.
The outside of the house features a covered porch, an outdoor fireplace, a heated pool a hot tub. Cozy sitting rooms, upscale cabin designs in each bedroom and an open-air living room with a modern gas fireplace add to the lodge-inspired designs on the inside of the home.
