You can get JetBlue flights from KCI to these places for under $80 starting Sunday

Associated Press

On Sunday, March 27, the first JetBlue flight will board and depart from Kansas City International Airport.

JetBlue’s arrival at KCI airport will offer local passengers more options for traveling to the east coast. The first flight scheduled to arrive at KCI’s Terminal C from Boston on Sunday at 8:29 a.m. The airline’s first departure of the day is set to take off at 10:18 a.m for New York.

The new routes will include round trip flights between KCI and Boston-Logan International Airport and New York-JFK International Airport. KCI’s JetBlue flights will use Airbus A220 planes, which will be equipped with broadband internet, on-board snacks and drinks and free DirectTV, according to a statement.

For March and April, one way flights from Kansas City to New York start at $79 and one-way flights to Boston start at $54.

JetBlue’s two non-stop routes to Boston and New York were announced in April 2021. The two destinations are popular for KCI passengers, according to a statement from the Kansas City Aviation Department.

The added routes should hopefully make those destinations more accessible to Kansas Citians. Kansas City Aviation Department director Pat Klein said Jet Blue’s arrival should be a boost for the region and bring more competition to the two popular destinations, according to a statement from July 2021.

“Time and again when JetBlue enters a new market, we drive down fares,” JetBlue Vice President of Network Planning Andrea Lusso said in a statement.

“We’re ready to do it again when we land in Kansas City.”
