Have your natural gas bills gone way up this winter in Kansas? Tell The Star about it

Bigstock

We’ve heard from dozens of readers in Missouri about how Spire Energy, KCMO’s only natural gas utility company, has raised customers’ bills by upwards of 100% since last winter.

Some have said they’ve been conscious about making their homes more energy efficient and using less heat, but have still received significantly higher bills.

Now we want to know—are residents of Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas experiencing the same thing? We’re collecting readers’ experiences with recent bill increases. Fill out the form below to tell us more about your recent bills and how they compare to previous years.

Be sure to note which company supplies your natural gas: residents of Kansas City, Kansas, usually get their gas from Kansas Gas Service, while Johnson County residents get theirs from Atmos Energy. Your gas company’s name will appear at the top of your past bills.

If you can’t see the form above, click here to fill it out. Thank you for helping the Star report on how utility costs are impacting the greater Kansas City community!
