Two men surrender in investigation of shots fired at Oak Park Mall

Two men surrendered to Overland Park police Monday evening in connection with an investigation into shots being fired at Oak Park Mall over the weekend.

Police said they would not release the name of the men until charges have been filed. They were being held at the Johnson County jail.

Police on Monday released photos of five people they wanted to talk to about the incident in a parking lot outside Oak Park Mall about 6:45 p.m. Saturday. Mall surveillance cameras captured the pictures.

The man who reported being fired at knew the people who shot at him, police said.

Police said they are still investigating and asked anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
