The KC pet project, Kansas City’s main animal shelter, has won a $30,000 grant for its community outreach and efforts to get more animals adopted or returned to their owners.
The shelter was a winner in the ASPCA/Rachael Ray $100,000 challenge community engagement award. The challenge, a nationwide competition involving 50 shelters and their communities, was intended to save lives and promote animal adoption.
