Kansas City police find missing 67-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s, dementia

Update: Evelyn Whitmire-Cooperider has been found safe, police say.

A 67-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia was reported missing Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, according to police.

Evelyn Whitmire-Cooperider was last seen at 3:45 p.m. walking south from Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City at 4401 Wornall Road, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

Whitmire-Cooperider, who is Black, stands at 4-foot-11 and weighs 104 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes, police said. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red mask.

Police asked anyone who sees Whitmire-Cooperider to call the Missing Persons Section at 816-234-5136.
