Missing Missouri teen found safe, authorities say

Authorities have canceled an endangered person advisory after locating a missing mid-Missouri teenager safe.

The highway patrol did not release any other details about what had happened to 16-year-old Kiaira Lazae Burris, who vanished after leaving a McDonald’s restaurant in Versailles about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

That night, she called her mother crying and sounding distraught. A male voice then came on the line and repeatedly said “I hid the body” before hanging up.
