ATV accident near Paola kills Olathe man

An Olathe man has died from injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle mishap, the Miami County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

The ATV being driven Saturday evening by Daniel Paul Wickoren, 43, slipped off a trail near Wea Creek in the 17000 block of West 295th Street in rural Paola, the sheriff’s office said.

The vehicle overturned, trapping Wickoren beneath it. Wickoren died after being taken to the Miami County Medical Center, the sheriff’s office said.
