Injury wreck closes northbound I-35 in Lenexa

A multi-vehicle traffic crash Friday afternoon closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 at Interstate 435 in Lenexa.

Lenexa police had no immediate information on injuries but said some people were being extricated from vehicles.

The wreck was reported about 2:45 p.m. Friday. Emergency crews reported that diesel was leaking from a tractor-trailer at the crash site.
