Olathe police ask for public’s help in finding teen who fled foster care with baby

Update: Both the 15-year-old girl and her daughter have been found safe, Olathe police said.

Olathe police asked for the public’s help Tuesday in searching for a 15-year-old girl, who they say fled foster care overnight with her two-month-old daughter.

In a news release, police said they were trying to locate Emily B. Cheatum-Collins, who is white with blonde hair and green eyes. She stands at 5-foot-5 and weighs 140 pounds.

Police described the incident as an “endangered runaway.”

The baby, Zelaya L. Page, is biracial with black hair and brown eyes, police said.

The Olathe Police Department asked anyone with information to call officers at 913-971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
