Victims from Miami County house fire identified
Two people found dead after a Miami County house fire last week have been identified as a married couple who lived at the home.
Michael G. Jerden, 62, and Sandy J. Jerden, 58, were found last Monday in the burned out home in the 3400 block of West 239th Street.
The Miami County Sheriff’s office said last week that both were killed by gunshots. The sheriff’s office has not released any other details, but said the case is still under investigation.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
The victims were positively identified Sunday through dental records, the sheriff’s office said Monday.
The early morning fire June 8 heavily damaged the house, a barn and at least one vehicle.
