Kansas City area’s Class of 2020: How many of these 22,987 graduates do you know?

In this unusual year, The Kansas City Star set out to list every 2020 high school graduate in the six counties of Jackson, Clay, Platte and Cass in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte in Kansas.

But getting these 22,987 names was possible only in partnership and collaboration with local school and district officials who took the time to compile their graduates’ names. We are listing the names of every graduate as the schools provided them to us.

Thank you to all of the schools, and congratulations to all the graduates. They are combined, in alphabetical order, as one metrowide class with a shared experience. Some small private schools and home-schooled students are not included because they could not be contacted.

This year’s KC Scholars graduates are identified with an asterisk. KC Scholars, one of the sponsors for this project, is a college scholarship and completion and workforce pipeline program for low- and modest-income students and adults in the six-county region.

Click the search button to see all the names. Or you can search the graduates by partial name, as well as by school, school district and if they were KC Scholars.
