Man injured in crash involving train, vehicle in Olathe Wednesday night

A crash involving a train and a vehicle left one person injured Wednesday night in Olathe, according to police.

The crash was reported in the area of North Kansas Avenue and West Mulberry Street. Olathe police received the call just before 8:45 p.m., according to a police spokesman.

In a Twitter post, police said a man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

The railroad crossing was temporarily closed late Wednesday pending an inspection of the train tracks, police noted.

An investigation into the crash was ongoing.
