How many potholes are in your neighborhood? This map shows 2,000 in Kansas City

Kansas City residents may wonder how the number of potholes in their neighborhood compares with the rest of the city.

This map makes it easy to find out.

A searchable map created from city data shows potholes reported to the city’s 311 system in a 30-day period. The map also shows whether the city records the pothole report as open or resolved.

For the last 30 days, about 2,000 potholes appear on the map. Of those, 438 are recorded as open.

Here is a searchable map of potholes in Kansas City reported to the city by its 311 system for the last 30 days, along with the status of the call. To search the map to see if a pothole has been reported in an area, type in a Kansas City address in the search field or zoom into an area of the map. Click the individual markers for more information on the pothole. The darker markers indicate the pothole has been repaired. You can also filter for the status of the call. Potholes can be reported to the city by calling 311 or 816-513-1313. Drivers can file a claim for damages from potholes by filling out a form made available by the city online.
