15-year-old boy who was reported missing in Kansas City has been located, police say

Update: Kansas City police announced on Jan. 29 that the teen has been located and is safe.

Kansas City police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old who has been missing since Saturday morning.

The teen, identified as Frank Smith, was last seen around 6:45 a.m. leaving the 3200 block of Olive Street in Kansas City on foot, according to police. Smith was wearing dark gray pants and a black jacket.

Smith is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs around 325 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes, police said.

Smith has several medical issues that require daily medication, police added.

Anyone with information on the teen’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or call the Kansas City Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5136.
