Lee’s Summit Fire Department pumper truck slips on icy road, rolls onto side
A Lee’s Summit Fire Department pumper truck rolled onto its side early Friday morning after it slipped on an icy road.
According to a news release, the pumper was headed south on Southwest Ward Road near Southwest Stuart Road about 5:10 a.m. when it came across icy road conditions and rolled.
It was on its way back to Station 5 on M-150 Highway after helping out with a structure fire.
The crew wasn’t injured and no other vehicles were involved.
