Check out the new Instagram-ready Chiefs sign on display at Union Station

Who knew a couple of words could be worth a thousand pictures?

Union Station placed 3-foot-tall lighted letters that spelled out “Chiefs Kingdom” in the Grand Hall last week, and the installation became an instant hit with selfie-shooting Kansas City Chiefs fans. Unless all of your friends are fans of the Houston Texans, there’s a good chance some of the people you follow on social media posted photos of the sign.

On Tuesday, employees of Alpha-Lit Kansas City removed the “Chiefs Kingdom” sign and replaced it with a new one that may be the thing that breaks the internet, at least around here.

Valentine’s Day is just a month away, so what could be more appropriate than Chiefs fans expressing their love for superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes by having their photos shot in front of a sign that says “KC loves Mahomes”? Of course “love” is represented with a heart. A big Chiefs-red heart.
