One killed in single car wreck on Kansas 32 in Edwardsville on New Year’s Eve: police

A man was ejected from a car and killed in a wreck on Kansas 32 in Edwardsville Tuesday evening, police say.

Just after 6:30 p.m. Edwardsville police officers were called to the 10000 block of the highway for a single vehicle crash.

On arrival officers found a man in his 20s who had been ejected from a car and was unresponsive.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was the only person in the car.

Details regarding what caused the crash were not immediately available. Police have not yet released the name of the victim.

The crash remains under investigation.
