81-year-old man who was reported missing in KC has been located, police say

Update: Kansas City police said in a statement Friday that Gardner Warren has been located and is safe.

Kansas City police were asking for the public’s assistance Thursday night in locating an 81-year-old man who has been reported missing.

Gardner Warren was last seen in the area of East 35th Street and Forest Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said he was driving a light blue 1992 Chevrolet S-10 truck with custom rims and a Missouri license plate.

Warren is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, around 145 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark leather jacket.

Police said Warren takes several medications, which he does not have with him.

Anyone with information about Warren’s whereabouts is asked to call the Kansas City Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5136.
