Man in critical condition after Leavenworth shooting

A 31-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Wednesday afternoon in Leavenworth.

Police Chief Patrick Kitchens said investigators were at the scene of the incident, which occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of North 11th Street. No suspect information was released. No one was in custody.

The victim was taken to a Kansas City area hospital.
